· Refund with direct credit to digital wallet for charging electric vehicles with the use of Visa cards
· The aim is to promote e-mobility through a series of incentives for electric vehicle drivers.
PPC, through its PPC blue service, which offers integrated e-mobility services and maintains the largest network of public chargers in Greece, and Visa, the global leader in digital payments, announce a cooperation for promoting e-mobility through incentives for electric vehicle drivers.
Specifically, DEI blue, in the context of the "Re charge | Re ward" actions and in cooperation with Visa, offers the opportunity to drivers who are members of PPC blue application to charge and earn direct credit to their digital wallet, by paying with debit, credit or prepaid Visa cards that they have connected to PPC blue application. As the kWh charged by the user each month are increased, the amount of the reward increases accordingly. As a consequence, users can receive a reward of up to €14 each month and use it for subsequent chargings of their vehicles through the largest public network of DEI blue chargers.
DEI blue users can view at any time the respective rewards in the new DEI blueDeals section.
Drivers can charge their vehicle, by paying easily, quickly and with security via the Visa payment network, through the wide network of public DEI blue chargers, at more than 2,200 public charging points, including more than 270 fast charging (DC) points of up to 300 kW nationwide.
With PPC blue app, electric vehicle drivers can quickly and easily locate the nearest charging point, book the available fast charger that is convenient for them, charge by paying with their digital wallet, and organize their trips by scheduling stops and charging times through the DEI blueTrips section. In addition, they can connect the private charger to their profile in order to manage private charging at home or at work.
PPC blue app members can also participate in reward programs, such as the "Re charge | Re ward with Visa cards" action and enjoy unique benefits that can be found in the new DEI blueDeals section.
As the European Union aims to have at least 30 million zero-emission vehicles on European roads by 2030, Visa is working hard to deliver to electric vehicle drivers modern, easy and secure payment experiences. It is worth noting that on Visa's network, the volume of payments for charging in public places was increased by 130% in 2023, highlighting an increasing preference for e-mobility.
The Chief E-Mobility Officer of PPC, Mr. Kyriakos Kofinas stated: "DEI blue is leading the technologically dynamic E-mobility sector and brings about a revolution already underway, which creates great opportunities, encourages partnerships and, above all, promotes interoperability. Our cooperation with Visa actively demonstrates our commitment to creating an e-mobility experience that is easier and more affordable for everyone, aiming at further promoting green and more environmentally friendly mobility. We will continue to innovate and create the best e-mobility solutions for a more sustainable future for all."
Nikos Petrakis, Country Manager of Visa in Greece stated: "The shift to e-mobility is a key factor in achieving the European Union's green transition targets. At Visa, we are working to ensure that drivers can easily, quickly and securely pay the charging of their electric vehicles, aiming to further encourage this important transition. Taking into consideration that most consumers prefer convenient methods of payment, we are working to provide innovative solutions that best serve this tendency, ensuring the highest levels of security, which is a top priority for us. It is a great pleasure for us to initiate the cooperation with DEI blue as, apart from the excellent benefits it provides to drivers, it underscores our commitment to striving for a cleaner and greener planet and to providing upgraded e-payment experiences."
